I am begging you, stop using the Russian propaganda form of "the Ukraine." My country is not a region of their empire (yes that is the actual reason behind Ukraine being referred to with "the"). It's an independent nation. It's Ukraine.

Don't worry, it's not really a language things as much as it is a "no one is immune to propaganda" thing. Russian propaganda is multilingual to affect the opinion of people around the world on their claims over Ukraine.

For example, in Ukrainian and Russian, in the same context of making it out to be as if "Ukraine is just a province of Russia", the propaganda claims that Ukrainian word for our country - Ukraina - should be pronounced with the stress on the first A instead of the I.

thanks for mentioning Argentina, that problem was drowned with the "Argentina is a turbo racist country" trend, and it was kinda annoying that most people couldn't see past the smoke screen
