4th panel is a quick flashback, it doesn't translate very well panel by panel or on full page, the whole black gutters for flashbacks is better implemented on webtoon:

I was a little confused since her generic ex boyfriend looked a lot like I remembered human Deth'lamm looking. Though now I see he doesn't have the defining pointy tooth or facial hair. And I was thinking Ibilis hadn't seen her since she was a kid so I figured she wouldn't have seen her with a partner like that.

I don't keep track of Fani's baths (and I won't). But I'm pretty sure the closest we ever saw her getting clean was from getting thrown off a bridge by Layla.

There's a certain class of guy (or gal) who's just desperate enough to date a woman with a dead-end, part-time job, a drinking problem, an inability to cook or maintain a living space, terrible body odor, and another boyfriend.

I also think that Fani's partners date her because she has no self esteem, or respect, and is desperate for love herself, which makes her easy to manipulate.

Nah the smell is 100% part of the stereotype.
Fani's relationship history is a polycule where her two boyfriends hated each other but didn't have the self respect to leave, a woman who emotionally abused her for fun, a bunch of succubi and incubi she figured out how to summon on command, and a string of short term flings that went nowhere. These are all people who had really low standards for themselves and others or else aren't required to spend a lot of time around Fani outside of bumping uglies.
