I hope this is a joke about the male gaze and not really true irl? If I'm regularly around someone, I know what color their eyes are, and when I was interested in a girl during my dating years, her eye color was one of the first things I'd notice, so this feels weird if true.

It’s a neurodivergent thing more than guy thing. I can’t ever someone’s eye color unless I have something to relate it to. Or it’s something they bring up for various reasons.

Ive known people for decades and never once remembered their eye colours, and im the sort of person who remembers birthdays etc.

I have central heterochromia (the colour near the center of my eye is different than the outside) and never in my life has anyone noticed it when i havent pointed it out to them

Weirdly enough, I also have central heterochromia, and it's usually something people comment on if they interact with me regularly, so I guess experiences vary.
