I don’t think I’ve ever given two thoughts to someone’s chosen hairstyle. I guess girls have rules? But speaking on behalf of my gender here - we don’t really care. But like, in a good way.

There's...pressure in the world about how girls present. We get judged if we present "too young" for our age or "too inappropriate" for our age. It's ingrained in us from a young age and kinda just continues as we get older. There's always someone saying "adults don't dress like that."
So I agree with you; it shouldn't matter. But myself and Julia here are both wearing hairstyles that adults "aren't supposed to" wear.
But hey, that's why we talk about it, right? Let's normalize it! 🤗
