I feel like I enjoy a fire. Watching it, being near it. I don’t enjoy being IN a fire, in my opinion that does not make me a poser or a fake fan of fires.

I like a fire, over there.. and the rain, out there and on the roof... and the icy cold, in the box where I keep my drinks.. and a howling wind, outside the window... and a cat, purring not scratching.

I like water... when it's in a bath/shower, a sink, or a cup. When it's just out doing water stuff? Not so much.

If you're feeling the heat and light of the fire, you're still interacting with it.

Unless you're a fan of the humidity, you aren't interacting with the rain by being inside. Maybe the sound I guess, and the sight of it running down the windows. *Maybe* the smell.

As a fellow Texan, I really enjoy the occasional overcast , rainy day. Nice change of pace from feeling like I'm living under a heat lamp.
