10 Best-Selling Comics October 20-26: 'Absolute Green Arrow' Slaughters 'Avengers: Armageddon'

Marvel’s Avengers: Armageddon #5, which killed off multiple characters, resurrected a few, and set up the new status quo for November’s upcoming Avengers #1 couldn’t stave off the serial killer rampage of DC Comics’ Absolute Green Arrow #6, as the latter title took the top slot on the best-selling single issue charts for October 20-26, 2026.
While the Top 10 comics sold for the week were evenly split between Marvel and DC Comics, the reveal of the Green Arrow Killer handily beat the new Miracleman (Miraclemen?) in Marvel’s event series. And the two publishers continued to ping pong throughout the chart, with Absolute Flash #20 taking the third slot, followed by the very fun Amazing Spider-Man Halloween Special at number four.
Speaking of Spider-Man, as we’ve been discussing the past few weeks it seems that of the three Midnight Universe titles, Midnight Spider-Man #1 is the breakout, holding strong at number 10 on the list, three weeks in. Midnight X-Men #1, by the way, came in at number 14 on the Top 400 list, while Midnight Fantastic Four #1 dropped to number 27. With second issues hitting beginning of November, it’ll be interesting to see how this all shakes out in the long term.
For other publishers, Bad Idea clearly had a good idea with It Demands Sacrifice #1, which debuted at number 15 on the chart. Image Comics was hot on their heels with D’Orc #9 ( soon to be a major motion picture , maybe!) at number 16, and the latest issue of G.I. Joe at number 18. Dark Horse ranked at number 43 for Six of Us #2, and BOOM! snagged the number 47 slot for Hello Halloween #2.

*Sales charts are based on data from Prana Direct Market Solutions, which culls together POS (Point of Sale) data from 600+ comic book stores that use the Manage Comics and Comic Shop Assistant systems. That means direct sales to 80,000+ customers, versus orders from comic book stores. But it also means this is a representative sample, and not complete data nor does it contain actual sales figures. Short version, it’s a good reference point, but actual sales data may vary.
