User report

It threatens violence at someone else

It quite literally does not. And if you believe it does, then somewhere deep down you also admit to yourself one side actually is fascist

Well no, that's not what defeats it, but it's certainly one of the things you should be doing that helps and you're a fool not to.

Yeah this method works if the people you vote in actually fight. Unfortunately, there is only one solid way to root out fascism, and the greatest generation figured it out.

The Dems are pretty bad at fighting, but they will maintain structures that will allow people who actually can fight to be able to do so. Them losing 2024 made the fight harder in every metric.

Voting is part of the fight. If you don't at least do that, the Dems, useless though they may seem to be, are still doing more fighting than you.

Dude, US citizens are world famously bad at organizing and fighting for their rights.

You keep losing your dignity, bit by bit, every year. Affordable housing, universal healthcare, free tuition, privacy...

I hope at some point you see that voting is the fundamental basics of democracy. You need to fight for your rights, even if your choice candidate gets elected.

It's a shame that it's been accepted Republicans are the Fascist/Authoritarian party and people don't hold them to account, only the Dems. Seems like part of that fight should be cutting the cancer of Fascism/Authoritarianism from the Republican party.

7. u/PHX-Sisko · 2026-11-01 19:26 UTC

When have the Dems held them accountable? What did they do? Oh right, a strongly worded letter lmao

8. u/YuumiMain9974 · 2026-11-01 18:07 UTC

Liberals always say this like Republicans can't turn people out and change minds. You have to pass policy and stabilize the economy otherwise the ball will pass to the other side and vice versa. 12 years of a 1 term president.

9. u/Stoic_Pupunha · 2026-11-01 18:19 UTC

I just read about your midterms and probably 80% of the Dem party should be catapulted to the Republican party.

There's only AOC, Bernie, Mandani, and the new hot candidate dude with a islamic name and a kick-ass flawless curriculum.

Fascism ends when people organize and fight.

You absolutely need to vote.

But Americans need to grasp this concept, this is so, so important;

Fascism and democracy cannot coexist at the same level.

Fascist governments aims to eliminate people abilities to make democratic choices, that can ultimately lead to the end of fascist government itself.

This is fascism 101 lol. Please, this is not a call for sabotaging or disseminate hate in this sensitive moment. You are not just voting to elect your candidate, you need to vote to ensure your institutions are still functioning, the election process reinforces that you are fighting for democracy.

What I mean to say that voting alone, does not end fascism. Elected officials alone cannot stop full stablished fascist regimes, because in fascist regimes, democratic institutions are not working.

Fascism ends when people join efforts under a collective and coordinated strategy. Online or Offline.

Exactly this.

12. u/FindOneInEveryCar · 2026-11-01 16:06 UTC

You don't remember when we voted the fascists out of office in Europe in the 40s?

13. u/redpoemage · 2026-11-01 16:20 UTC

Worked in Hungary a few months ago!

Voting alone of course isn’t guaranteed to solve everything, but it’s a godamn vital tool.

14. u/Usernameoverloaded · 2026-11-01 16:12 UTC

And they’re being voted back in again

15. u/TheGreatGamer1389 · 2026-11-01 18:53 UTC

Talking about the AfD?

16. u/NoStatus9434 · 2026-11-01 16:13 UTC

I LITERALLY SAID IT'S NOT WHAT DEFEATS IT, IT'S WHAT HELPS

My god I knew I was going to get comments like this

17. u/FindOneInEveryCar · 2026-11-01 16:14 UTC

You realize that I'm agreeing with you, right? I'm using sarcasm to reinforce the point you made.

18. u/YuumiMain9974 · 2026-11-01 16:18 UTC

It doesn't help once its fully in place. Trump can't bring himself to go all the way.

19. u/Zeph-Shoir · 2026-11-01 16:17 UTC

It is also not a long term solution. Having to choose between a human being and a fascist every 4 years is not sustainable. We didnt get here without reasons! A lot of fundamental changes are required.

20. u/AggressiveCuriosity · 2026-11-01 18:20 UTC

There is no long term solution. This is the real world where things break down over time.

There is literally no system that works forever.
