DC and BOOM! have teamed up for one of the most anticipated crossover comics this year with Swamp Thing Is Killing the Children #1, set to debut on February 24, 2027.

Bringing to life “a beautiful blend of superhero and horror that works perfectly” ( Capes & Tights ), the assiduous work of New York Times –bestselling author James Tynion IV and Eisner Award-winning artist Werther Dell’Edera , the superstar team behind the smash hit Something is Killing the Children , push the boundaries for the very first crossover story ever told in the fan-favorite Slaughterverse.

Two siblings who are life-long comics fans find their way to horror comics, in spite of the fears they inspire. As the terrifying visions from the pages of the comics start to come to life, Erica Slaughter will have to hunt down one of horror’s most recognizable figures—Swamp Thing himself!

Ahead of the release date, BOOM! said in a statement:

We are extending the production timeline to accommodate the extraordinary demand while preserving the intended premium quality of the highly anticipated deluxe one-shot. With creative work already complete, the crossover will now arrive in comic shops on February 24, 2027 . In anticipation of its release, BOOM! is thrilled to reveal a first look at the issue.
